Eliminated most of my re-buffering pauses.

I've been using a Sony Blu-Ray player as the streaming interface to my Sony TV for several years. I live rural and don't have a very fast internet connection, so while I hated the frequent pauses to re-buffer when trying to watch a streaming movie, I always blamed it my ISP.
Some recent internet research led me to suspect the Blu-Ray player and buy the Roku-3. While I still have internet ISP speed problems, I can usually stream Netflix movies with no problems. Not always in full HD, but that's because of my slow ISP, not Roku. I also use it to stream Amazon prime movies and to show photos from Picasa Web albums.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our son gave us our Roku for Christmas. We absolutely love it. It makes finding what we watch so much easier. We were using the menus on our internet ready TV. The Roku is so much better. I would recommend the Roku to everyone. I now am able to have closed captions on my shows and see my anarchists.

This is an awesome addition to my entertainment system. With all of the channels available and movie choices (M-Go, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Blockbuster, and tons of free movie channels) and the speed at which they are delivered, my Blu-Ray player is now collecting dust. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the 1080p video mode doesn't seem to work with my TV. :-(
