Good compact addition

Got this as a Christmas gift. Easy set up with good directions and simple on screen process.
In Canada, limited optons though as compared to USA subscription. Even so, enough programming on Neflix to view.

Where have you been all my life, Roku?

We don't know how we ever lived without our Roku! Bought after misplacing our old streaming device during a move and feel like we won the lottery with the ease of use of our new Roku (which far surpasses our old machine!) The remote is so easy to use - my son (12) LOVES the headphones that can attach to the remote - come to think of it, so do I so we don't all have to listen to his tween programming on full blast! Love accessing all our Amazon Prime movie choices, plus our paid subscriptions on Redbox and Hulu! Best $100 I've spent in ages! Now if only we could program our Roku to pop the popcorn!

Found the roku 3 at a thrift store. I never thought to buy one because I have a 60 inch lg smart TV.....my apps are no comparison to the many apps offered on the roku 3. My husband bought one at full price for his man cave in the basement. Easier to maneuver as well.

The Networks New Freedom

I am satisfied with the variety of channels that Roku offers. I wish more networks on cable would offer direct live streaming to the Roku device without the requirement of a cable subscription. Roku offers a choice to select specific networks. Overall I love my device. The only thing that I noticed was that a few times my device shutdown to reboot on it's own. Overall I love Roku!

Everything expected and more

We bought the Roku3 about a month ago and use it daily for everything from watching NHL games on GameCenter to TV shows on Hulu to movies on Netflix. All streaming in beautiful HD we didn't need to get an additional HD cable box for the bedroom. With all the other channels available, we were more than impressed with the picture quality and ease of use. Well worth every penny!

Works great except remote batteries

So much better than trying to plug our laptop into the TV everytime we want to watch Netflix, but for some reason the remote seems to be a total battery suck. We have replaced the batteries 3 times in a month.
