I could go on and on, If you don't have it in your home your missing out.

Have only had this a few weeks, easy to hookup, easy to use, movie quality is as expected, but it seems like you have to incur monthly fees for just about anything you want to watch (still have lots to explore with the programming options though). So not sure yet whether or not this product is a good fit for us, as we are not interested in increasing our monthly expenses.

Love: Ability to search all channels at once; app for phone which includes keyboard (great for entering searches, works on most channels); simplicity of setup and use; reliable; gives quality video
Dislike: Impossible to get local market hockey games, but not Roku's fault ... blame the conspiracy between major league sports and cable companies.

I didn't expect it to have all the channel options and features. Works great. Very easy to setup. Love the comprehensive search feature that searches across all channels. Highly recommend!

I have been holding off reviewing my Roku 3 - which I have had for just over a month now - so that I could have an informed opinion about not only what I like about it but also its flaws and things I would like improved. However, to date I have still not come up with anything serious to criticize, so it I'm stuck with having to write a glowing review. In all honesty, I had not expected to be overly impressed. I thought the device might be good for more convenient streaming from Amazon Prime Video (no more need to run an HDMI cable from the laptop to the TV) and that's about it. It is certainly good for that, but it's much more besides. There are whole libraries (they call them channels, but they are not like channels on TV) of movies and TV shows, free. There are sports on demand, free. I just watched a couple dozen matches from the Australian Open on the ESPN channel, in full HD, with no commercials, free. I would pay money for that alone. There are news channels, with individual stories on demand. No more sitting through a news broadcast waiting for the one story I'm interested in. There are 'channels' with actual TV channels running inside them. I paid 10 bucks a month (yes, some channels you pay for) for Dishworld Sports which has BeIn Sports, OneWorld Sports and Universal Sports. I can now watch all the ski racing I want, plus Spanish football, table tennis, badminton, cricket and a bunch of other sports you will never see on regular American TV. Some of it is not HD, but for that kind of money I can forgive that. The point is that you only pay for things you want, not for hundreds of channels you never watch. The only criticism I can offer is that some of the channels out there (and there are hundreds) are of dubious quality with cheesy content, like Animal Planet Live, which is nothing but a bunch of webcams pointed into a zoo enclosure, a litter of puppies etc. About as exciting as watching an aquarium. But that is the democratic nature of the internet: some of it is good and some not. One thing is certain - this is only the first glimpse of where TV is headed. This is the future and it will only keep getting better, with more choices and better quality. For now it is already good enough to say goodbye to cable.

I bought this about a month ago and have been very happy I did! I am able to get many shows available only on cable without paying the big prices cable etc. charges. I'm watching expenses and this allows me more viewing enjoyment with less expense.

I have Roku 3 and PlayOn app installed on it and they work great together. I am really happy with the quick menu interface. Much faster than previous version I owned.
