A must have for the family!

We purchased 2 Roku 3 players the day we cancelled cable. We have had Netflix subscription for very long time and are familiar with the content and watching tv over internet. It took us a while to decide to cancel cable but once we experienced what Roku 3 has as far as content and how convenient it is to watch we are not going back. There is something for everybody.

Great features, easy to use, up to date technology

Roku is by far the easiest device we have had to set up. The user interface is simple and clean. There are so many channels and features to choose from. One of my favorite things about the Roku is that they have an iPad/iphone app that works great with it, and you can use your keyboard to search instead of clicking on each letter.

Love my Roku 3

I almost cried when I cut the cabled cord and had to cancel my TiVo. I loved my TiVo. It was so cute and friendly and made cute little noises and had a button to push to rewind a few seconds and catch what that guy just said. I went a couple years using the subpar Netflix and Hulu apps on my blu ray, but when I signed up for Amazon Prime, which the blu ray didn't support, I decided to get the Roku.
WHELP, it's awesome. It is exactly as cute and responsive as my TiVo was, apps now load really fast, and it has a "what did that guy just say?" button! The remote does tend to get lost very frequently, but that's OK because I can use the app on my phone as a remote too. I wish I had bought it earlier!

I like the features; however, I work from home via a company supplied Virtual Private Network (VPN) and I am unable to connect to the VPN when Roku is connected. I need to unplug the Roku box every morning and my family can only plug the Roku box in when I'm not using the VPN. Roku overpowers/interrupts my VPN to wireless router connection.

Our children bought our Roku for Christmas. We really like it. We're saving money and it's just as good as Cable or Dish. In fact, we prefer it.....no contract.

When Roku 3 has added a Web Browser it will be ideal. Not everything that is on the web can be watched except designated items like Netflix, etc.

I gave this to my wife for x-mas and wow. We love it, and not so much for us but our son can watch kids shows anytime with Amazon video & PBS Kids. Gives us a few minutes of peace before dinner.

easy to use

I received the Roku 3 as a Christmas gift and setup to my TV and DVR was easy and fast. It's easy to change my TV from component mode to HDMI to access the Roku system. Picture quality is great, and sound is acceptable, though I can't route it through my stereo system. Overall I love the Roku and the viewing opportunties it provides.
