I bought the roku 3 mainly for the ufc tv channel. So I may have not used it to its fullest potential yet. The video quality is great, but do have trouble with playback errors when my whole family is on the wifi at the same time. When everyone is sleeping or out of the house, I do not have that problem. They do seem to have lots of channels to choose from. Overall, for what i use it for, it is pretty awesome.

Love my Roku!!!

I received my Roku for Christmas from my husband. I was very excited. I hooked it up in our bedroom in literally 10 minutes. Very easy to hook up. My favorite feature is the ability to plug your earphones into the remote. I am seriously considering buying another one for our living room!

I bought this with my christmas money and I have to say, it was the best purchase I made last year! I love the variety of channels I can connect to, and bathe in the glory that is movies and music!

I love my Roku! I use to have Satellite programing. I am saving a lot of money watching Netflix! I don't have to waste my time watching ads! I am watching more because I can watch the programs I like. I have a bigger chose of what I want to watch!

Roku Allows the user to select applications rather than the "canned" apps that other popular internet boxes select for you. I would have given it four stars if Roku was DLNA compliant however there are work arounds such as the Plex app. Also Roku does not play some popular video formats such as AVI.

Why get the Roku? You have to activate it with a credit card (or Paypal). You can watch very limited offerings for free. Most of the content requires some sort of subscriptions. Personally, I don't see any great benefit from Roku. On the plus side, this device will turn any TV into a Smart TV. On the downside, can't even get any of the major TV networks - cannot take the place of an antenna, cable, or dish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got it for Christmas, and it does everything I want it to. Only downside is that most of the really good stuff you need to have paid memberships (Netflix, HBO GO, Hulu, etc.)
