Replacing WD devices

Bought two Roku 3's to replace my WDTV devices. Love the iTunes integration of the Roku (itunes cover art is a bit hit and miss though). It is unfortunate as well that the apps are limited for Canada. However using Plex has been an absolutely awesome experience! Playing files from my PC and phone also amazing! Add some more content for Canada and I will buy two more! It was a bit surprising that there is no simple support (that I can find) for playing DNLA content. A few shortcomings keep this device from being perfect.

Best way to stream... period.

I cut ties with my cable provider in June, I had been searching for the all-in-one way to watch streaming content - my search is now over.
I got the Roku 3 as a Christmas present and I love it.
My big qualifications were: quality, ease/speed of menus, streaming options, and remote.
I can honestly say the Roku 3 rates a perfect score in these categories for me.

still do not understand all there is

I can't figure which ones are suitable. I require closed caption/subtiltles. I have to look through everything and sometimes it is difficult to find those things with closed caption. I am hanging in, enjoying the things that I do find. Why everything that is a new item does not have closed caption puzzles me.

So much better than streaming with Blu Ray player

Works great so far. The speed, playback quality and selection is amazing compared to what I had with my Blu Ray player. I wish I would have purchased it long ago.

Everything and more

I bought the Roku 3 for myself right before Christmas as I bought the Roku lite for another person. My Roku 3 has been amazing. Primarily I use it for Netflix, but I have recently started to branch out to the other channels. The content available is awesome. So many different options. It is very easy to use, I even got one for my parents as they are not so good with any electronics. It's been great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Streaming made easy

Setup, instructions, unit streamlined and easy. Data streaming via Netflix periodically problematic-sure that this is either Netflix or local internet issue. Streaming selections offered are excellent. Remote could add back-lighting feature--small thing!
