Easy to integrate with the TV and AV receiver. Good range of channels, and the remote is simple, easy, and powerful. Glad I didn't go the "media computer" route.

Better than cable

Lacks ability to search internet for sites. I live in Canada and am not able to get programming (not even PBS) that USA customers get.

I was using my older Sony BluRay to stream video but it was slow, buffered all the time and the it was difficult to FF and Rew, pause and stop with no other capability. The Roku 3 is FAST! I am so pleased with this device. Downloads fast, has not buffered on me yet and the features to control what you are watching are just excellent. You can even Rew and and FF down to the frame you are looking for.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very well worth it, like the auto play feature, no buffering or delays.
Way better than just a stand alone smart TV

The need to have the computer open for Roku to work is a bit of a hassle. There should be a power button, several people I know unplug it. There are several channels that are shown on the Roku site that require access from the Cable Company to view. In my case Wave Cable is not listed, so Disney and other channels my daughter was excited about viewing are not available.

I received my Roku as a Christmas gift and I love it! Even thinking of dropping cable because most of the stuff I watch I can get on Roku. Even if you have to pay a subscription fee for some channels its still cheaper then cable and you only pay for the channels you want!

The Roku has made watching television fun and enjoyable again, as I can watch interesting programs whenever I want. The setup was fairly easy. I like that there are no commercials.
