Some things to like about Roku

I bought a Roku 3 right before Christmas from Radio Shack. It took some trial and error and additional investment to set it up with my existing AV Receiver and projector, but eventually got it to work. I do not have any sort of TV subscription and was hoping to get access to some channels of interest through Roku without additional cost. So far I am pleased to find that some of my favorite streaming video web sites also available on Roku. It looks like there are some other free sites that will have content of interest, but I am a little disappointed to find so little that interests me.
The hardware seems to work quite well overall and supports higher resolution video quite well even with a relatively slow internet connection.
There are some drawbacks. Searching for titles is rather slow as you have to type in letter by letter. There is no way to mark your favorite selections from within your favorite channels. You have to wade through a lot of stuff to find nuggets.

I got the Roku 3 for Christmas and love it. It streams movies for Netflix with no delays. The new youtube channel is a great add too.

The main reason I bought the Roku is because of all the free stuff that came with it. I did enjoy a few documentaries and Angry Birds space, but I'm not sure its worth more than having a smart tv, blue ray, or any other internet capable device. I was hoping to find more games on it due to the Wii style remote, but was very disappointed in the gaming options.

I received this as a Christmas gift and really enjoy it. It is hard to believe that out of this tiny little box can come so much! Though the one feature i wished it would have would be a power-off feature. Other then that, it is great!

Purchased to hook up to the TV, to cut down on the hardware/interfaces to watch internet TV. Replaced a laptop-connect, Chromecast on our main TV. Good selection of connections (primarily use Netflix and Amazon), lots of other options as well. Small, simple, convenient.

I loved the roku. Got it for Christmas from my in laws. However, I ended up returning mine because I'm an apple/I tunes user and have all my movies stored on there so went with the Apple TV instead. Beyond happy with my Apple TV.

Great device except for Comcast

I love my Roku. I get a huge amount of content with a great picture and an outstanding user interface. The only negative is that Comcast refuses to allow me to use HBO Go on my Roku.
