I have had my player for nearly a year and have found it to be a great decision. I can get a lot of free channels and some of that is so great, my childhood lives. I get Netflix and a few very inexpensive pay channels and am very happy with this
too. I ashcanned the cable and do not miss the cost and no programming worth watching. I live taht new channels are added almost every day. I will not go back to high prices and sub-par programming.

This was a Christmas present for my wife. She loves catching up on old episodes of TV series. It is easy to install and use but occasionally glitches crop up. Nothing major. Wish there was more content but I expect that will be coming down the road, especially live sports.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used another product for years and my son recommended your device so I bought it test it out myself. It has worked extremely well and probably will purchase a couple of more units.

Also for youtube and netflix

For the price the features are awesome and for the features the price is just right

Have had this a couple of months and it does everything I need and has allowed me to "cut the cable". I get over the air network channels and DVR with Aereo for $12 per month (outdoor antenna, DVR box, or cable not needed), movies and other programming from Netflix and Amazon Prime. I tried Hulu but didn't like it because availability is tied to your cable TV provider. You do need a good internet service, but you have to have that for your computers anyway. Also, this gives you many of the features of a Smart TV without upgrading the set.

Lots of Channels, Poor as Network Hub

I purchased the Roku3 media player to replace my greatly outdated WDTV media streamer. I picked this product as a device to stream from my network, as well as my hardwired hard drive as there is a USB slot. Unfortunately, when a HD is plugged in, the Roku3 does not read many file types.
If you are deciding between this and an AppleTV and most of your products already run iOS, I'd go with the AppleTV. If you have a mismatch of devices kicking around, you won't be overly disappointed with this product. You will still need a network hub though.
