Good but not Great

I bought this product to watch movies & videos on the large screen TV. Last weekend we watched a movie in high def. The video was as good as watching a movie from DishNetWork. The audio was not. The Roku 3 has an HDMI out to the TV. The TV will pass 5.1 Dolby Digital audio & stereo audio only. The movie was in some other form of digital audio, my audio receiver will decode almost all digital audio, but there is no way of getting that audio to the receiver. Had watch the movie with stereo audio. For the reason, I would not recommend this product! Why did Roku not put a S/PDIF output on the Roku 3?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Delivers on several fronts

I bought the Roku 3 and am exceedingly pleased with it. It is fast, responsive, delivers very good HD content, and the channel selection is much better than I expected. I agree with many of the other reviews in that there is so much possibility yet to be seen. Additionally, the Roku 3 has allowed me to simplify my 'boxes'. I have gotten rid of my Google Box (Google TV) and Slingcatcher. The slingbox app works great on Roku, and the google box is amateur compared to Roku.

Super convenient, but occasionally crashes Netflix

There are no doubts the Roku 3 is awesome. I actually used to have an Apple TV and the Roku 3 is far superior. Rewinding/fastforwarding is extremely good. Also the microphone jack on the remote is so convenient!
The one down side is since I started using(binging) on it after getting netflix a few days ago, it did crash a few times. Could've been the netflix app. Still would recommend it to anyone.

It has what ever I need

I have tried all the players (Google TV, Chromcast, Blayray players, Apple TV). Finally I settled to this. It has good TV channels and I can watch all my stuff in this. Except HBO Go. because I have Comcast they don't allow. I wish they slove that soon.
My best part of the player is head phone jack. Local content I can watch online.
With USB port not all formats supports it. This could have been easy. I play same thing with PLEX it works. Some crash on netflex app some times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my roku 3 a few days after Christmas and I am so happy that I did! It does so much (YouTube, netflix, angry birds, hulu plus, etc.) and I use it all the time!
