The Roku 3 is easy to install and works well. It is initially challenging to figure out which buttons to push on the remote in order to make particular things happen on the menu and if I were to suggest any improvements, it would be in menu functionality. The biggest issue for me relates to the items available on the menu and the fact that aside from Netflix (with its nominal monthly fee) and National Film Board, many of the offerings are either pay per view or sponsored. And the sponsored links are almost not worth the effort, because the ads do not happen at natural breaks in the action, and in the limited times I viewed such sponsored sites, the same ad repeated over, and over and over, throughout the viewing, with the frequency increasing as the movie progressed.
So, as far a content is concerned, a lot of it (pay per view or sponsored), to my mind, is unwatchable. But this is NOT a hardware issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. He loves watching Netflix but had to watch it on his laptop. The ear buds are what sold me and the remote. It took him awhile to warm up to the Roku 3, but now he loves it. He can watch his movies on the TV and sit in his comfy chair.

This was given to me as a gift for Christmas. I couldn't figure out how to set it up and had to have a grandson do it and a daughter walk me through how to use it. I find these electronic gadgets difficult for older people to understand because the instructions assume we all know the lingo. Sorry, but many of us don't. Simplify and clarify with words/pictures the installation and usage of the tool. I'm still struggling with trying to figure out which sites are free and which demand money!

Exceptional Device

Usually don't write reviews but I was really impressed with this device. First it's fit and finish was great, super feel in the hand, very "Apple Like" with just the right weight to feel substantial but not bulky.
Second the install was very simple and completely intuitive. Finally the load time and picture quality totally exceeded my expectations. Bravo you guys!!
