Bought this to replace my Samsung Blu-Ray for streaming Netflix and am so happy I did. With the Samsung Netflix froze every few minutes but I've never had a moment's trouble streaming Netflix with the Roku.

Great for streaming Netflix and listening to Pandora. Don't like the requirement to provide my credit card information to use some of the features even though I will not use features.

Great alternative to cable!

I got my Roku for Christmas and I am very happy with it. We installed it in the living room and it makes our older TV comparable to the Smart TV we have in another room. We are Amazon Prime subscribers, so our Amazon Prime Instant Video service is primarily what we use to stream content through the Roku. Without a subscription to a streaming service such as Amazon, Netflix, or Hulu Plus, it has limited potential. But we love ours!

Since we don't have the fastest internet at our house, the streaming capabilities of our Sony Blu Ray are taxed when we want to watch a Netflix movie. I bought the Roku 3 hoping that maybe it would be able to stream movies better. My gamble paid off, and our Netflix movies are now streaming flawlessly!

Best decision I've made

I wanted my Roku3 for Christmas and my kids came through. My goal was to cut the cord and drop Directv. After 1 month of testing, reviewing and trying various Roku channels, I've cancelled Directv and I'm using Roku full time. I've been an early adopter for various technologies over the last 15 years, so I'm no stranger to emerging products, and I've got to say between Roku and Aereo, I have every bit of TV entertainment I could ask for. Thank you Roku!

This is my 2nd Roku. I also own a Roku 2. I love the speed of the Roku 3! The menu is so intuitive, and the search feature cant be beat! Set up was a piece of cake, and it functions flawlessly. I cannot say enough good about this unit. I wish my Roku 2 would break, so I could justify purchasing another Roku 3. But alas, it just wont die!
