This is one awesome device! I just can't believe the variety of movies, TV shows and documentaries that are available. It is like someone has discovered that good television viewing doesn't require mega channels with which to choose from and has put available to the viewer the best of the best in a neat hand held Roku package. Bravo! Roku 3!!

This is the best Christmas present my daughter could have bought me. I cancelled my Comcast TV cable, bought a leaf antenna for local stations and saved myself over a $100 a month. Absolutely the BEST!!

The 'Out-of-box' channels are a sad mix, of stuff already available online...you WILL be disappointed by this product, UNLESS you PURCHASE a 'Service' such as Amazon 'Instant', Hulu Plus, or Netflix! [example...'accessing' a recent movie, or even episode of your favorite TV show, will cost roughly $2.00/each viewing]...
BE FOREWARNED, ROKU will disappoint you, should you expect much in the way of FREE 'content'...such has quite simply, NOT been part of my experience.

Amazing technology

My zillion channel cable TV service (Dish) somehow seems to offer very little worth watching sometimes. Thank goodness for Roku. Ruku's technical support people are very good and fixed a problem caused by my internet provider.

I bought the Roku for a family Christmas gift. We are very frugal and do not subscribe to cable TV. I read other reviews and thought I should give it a try. Wow was I surprised at how many shows I could watch without any extra fees. If I want new releases, they are available for a small fee. No worrying about returning on time. Found the channels very easy to find and add to my account. The remote with ear phones for quiet viewing is a plus for me. The 1080p viewing give us a beautiful picture as well. Very Happy I got it!

easiest set-up of any device I've ever bought

I bought this for the family for Christmas and installed it Christmas day, easiest set-up of any device I've ever bought. It performs as expected and there are more services available through it than I imagined. Only negative is not really Roku's fault, the services are fairly expensive.

My New Roku 3

I received a ROKU 3 for Christmas and thought I would give it a try.....It was difficult at first to understand the concept of MGO and finding out that every thing has a price instead of a package monthly fee like HULU Plus or RedBox....I will not use MGO and it is a shame it is the main menu. Over all I am use to a "TV Guide" so I am not liking the fact I have to search for everything, but I am getting use to it. I miss not being able to get my local channels....I haven't tried any other streaming boxes so I can't compare ROKU to them.

My son-in-law bought us a Roku 3. I had jokingly told him before Christmas that if he got us one he and my daughter would not have to worry about gifts for any occasion for a year. We do not have cable or satellite by choice. Now with the Roku and broadband internet we can watch what we want when we want it. Thank you Daniel and thank you Roku.
