I received the Roku for Christmas from my son in law. I had been looking for a way to watch tv and movies without paying for things I didn't want to purchase. I am very pleased so far.

Better than expected

We had been streaming through a Samsung Blu-ray then moved to streaming through our Wii. We liked the Wii streaming very much. Then, when we moved the Wii to the basement, we didn't want to go back to the Blu-ray so we decided to get the Roku 3. The BEST streaming choice we have ever made. We stream Netflix and several other channels through the Roku now.

Better than cable!

I bought our Roku a few days before Christmas, it was very easy to set up and I like that I have so many movies at the tip of my fingers! I still have things to learn about it, but at this point it is great. The only drawback may be that there can be refreshing during some movies, due to internet speed. DSL can be a little slow at times (but not all the time) Still a better choice then cable or satellite.
