LOVE IT!!!

I got this for Christmas and as a college student I love it. Of course while i'm not doing school work you can most likely find me watching Netflix and Roku 3 is perfect for that. I initially got it just for Netflix but after seeing all it has to offer, I have many other channels that i use just as often.
Also, I have to make note of how much I enjoy the headphone jack on the remote. With rather loud roommates, I now don't have to blast my TV to hear it.

I got the Roku 3 for Christmas and I am so incredibly happy that I did. I have not had cable since I moved into my new place and was previously streaming Netflix, Hulu Plus & Amazon over my dvd player, but it was horrible. I was constantly rebooting my router because the shows were always stopping. When I got the Roku I was hoping it would perform a little better and I have been ecstatic that I no longer have any streaming issues. I watch shows all day long with no problem and I have found some great channels that play other types of movies including my favorite, documentaries, for free. My only regret is that I didn't get the Roku sooner.

I think that the Roku 3 is great! it works really well and allows me to watch all my channels instantly without having a game console!

Definitely responds faster than previous versions, though still has occasional input lag/non-response. As much as I love the simplicity of the remote, it needs a qwerty/full alphabet input for waaay easier search/input. The android app that lets you use your cell ph to input letters faster is a little frustrating and you have to "start over" again searching things in the same session.
The You-Tube channel is a long overdue welcome addition. The myriad number of channels is great ad, I suppose, although you'll probably actually select no more than 10% of them.
All in all a greatly executed, quality product and I think this and a good digital broadcast antennae is the best reason to cut the expense of cable/satellite TV.
I bought 5 of them for friends and family this Christmas!

I got this for Christmas. I love it. I really hope y'all add more channels like CBS, NBC, CW, ABC and other channels so I can watch them off my roku instead of off my laptop.

This was a Christmas present I received and I love it. I couldn't justify purchasing one for myself and oh was I so wrong..this is wonderful!!! It is well worth the price.

A good gift

I've had my Roku 3 for a year now and I have to say that I am very pleased. It was easy to install and to work with. At first it took me a couple of minutes to get the hang of it but then I was rolling and adding channels. I have recommended Roku to several friends and have heard back that the ones that did buy are satisfied. The only thing that I think would make it better is to be able to connect your laptop so you can just type in what you need instead of using the remote. Once I figure out how to dump Dish, then Roku will be my best friend.
