Almost perfect.

We have had this for about a month now, and it is almost a perfect solution. All of it's functions and features are fantastic, but the one thing it is missing , is the capability to stream from your android, or apple device. With the Apple TV you can use air play, and browse the web, watch a video online, on your ipad, and have it stream to the apple tv, thus your tv. That is what the Roku is missing. I know you can stream stored content like pictures, and video's, stored on the pad, or tab
but no dice as far as a global stream like the apple tv. If the Roku could do this, it would earn 5 stars, as video, audio quality is superb, along with all the apps offered.

Bought this a few weeks ago, and the Roku works beautifully. Streams movies perfectly, no buffering in regular format or HD.

Very easy to use

I bought this about 6 weeks ago. There were the usual glitches during setup so I had to speak to support, a thirty minute wait while I did something else, for them to sign me in, since that did not work through the TV properly. Once signed in it has been very easy to use. I like the miniplug receptor on the remote which makes it easy to use headphones so others are not disturbed. The controls are intuitive and quickly learned. It adds a whole new dimension to video entertainment. One star off for initial setup glitches.

I love this device!! If there is a way to play local stations on it, I would get rid of cable altogether!!! Solid system, love the quickness of the channels on it. Just love it!!

If I had a Cable provider

I am very pleased with my roku performance and channel selection. Cant watch most channels without having a cable provider. If I had a cable provider I wouldn't need a roku. otherwise its OK.

Best Streaming Content & Ease Of Use

I have now bought three Roku 3 devices. I bought the Roku 3 after trying Apple TV. The Roku is very easy to install and setup. It has more applications (channels) than anything else I could find. I am an Amazon Prime subscriber so having access to Amazon Prime was important to me. Apple TV does not provide the Amazon app and although there are ways to mirror Amazon Prime from an Apple PC it is not as simple or as effective as running the app on Roku.
