Easy to set up, Easy to use

I've looked extensively at similar products by other brands and have read so many reviews about those brands including Roku. I finally settled on the Roku 3 and have been surprisingly satisfied. I say that because it seems anything "new" sounds great till one gets to working it. This was truly a 3 step setup as the directions state, (and one of them was just taking it out of the box). It worked immediately and superbly. The picture is super clear and vibrant, and the sound is so clear, (this will depend on your TV and stereo system), and the remote is so basic unlike many other remotes with a bunch of buttons which won't do anything anyway. I do recommend this product over any of the others. It is one of the few that will run Amazon Prime or Instant Video, so shopper beware of the other's claims. (Google Chrome will NOT!!)

Slow and sometimes hangs

I thought Roku3 might be faster than Roku2. But it is also slow. Also it sometimes hangs and needs to reboot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my roku3 for the last several months and I couldn't be happier with it! It has great features and tons of apps. The streaming is wonderful...much better than my Samsung BluRay Disc player.

I am very pleased with this ROKU 3 I got for Christmas. We were so tired of paying for TV as we grew up in the days of "off Air" TV. We use an antenna for local channels and subscribe to "Net Flix" along with all the other free channels ROKU selects from the VAST internet market, we are FIXED for TV. Thanks, I recommend everyone have one.

THIS PRODUCT FALLS SHORT OF FIVE STARS BECAUSE THE MEDIA FORMAT IS LIMITED, IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANY FILE FORMAT BUT IT DON'T.

Bought this myself for Christmas, and am so glad I did! I find much more to watch on my Roku channels than on my cable TV with all the premium channels added. It set up in about 5 minutes and was ready to use. Subscribing to just Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime is under $20 per month and those 3 channels give you more content than you could ever want!
My only issue is that I have not been able to link my Samsung S4 to it remotely. However, it links great with my tablet!

I got my Roku 3 for Christmas and I haven't been happier! I love it! I use it everyday! I don't have cable in my apartment so my Roku makes it seem like I do! I had been looking into getting a SmartTV but with my Roku, I don't need to!
