Easy to use

I bought this to use with Slingbox and it works like a champ. I gave four stars to a GFCI breaker strip that saved me from electrocution.

Goodbye cable/satellite TV

Once we got rid of cable, we were really struggling to find content, and seldom willing to go through the hassles of getting the content to the big screen tv. We instantly went from nearly zero to full tilt, having lots of portals for content, as well as some games and life-help channels. We love it!

Tech good, business not so good

The gadget works great. Easy to hook up, though analog audio outputs are sorely needed. Most modern receivers need analog audio for second zone operation.
More important, the business side of this products is cumbersome and difficult. I'm constantly asked by different channels to establish new accounts with cc info. This after setting all that up with a Roku acct. Very unpleasant. One acct should drive everything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku Is Solid

This device was a huge step up for us, enabling us to watch all our favorite internet TV (netflix, hulu etc) on a TV instead of the laptop. My only complaints are some limitations with the interface, especially around searching and typing. If there was some bluetooth keyboard connectivity that would help. There is an iPhone remote app, which is great, but for whatever reason doesn't register the text I type in. You can search using the Roku remote, but it's a bit clunky and inefficient compared to even using your phone. All in all, this is great product!
