Easy than I thought

Not being super techy, I was somewhat hesitant to delve into this. However, it turned out to be really easy. The channels are good, but it does not carry enough live sports for us to totally give up Direct TV. This is my goal. However, there is a lot of great content and I'm sure it will just keep getting better. I am told we can transport it from our home to our RV. We will be trying this next month and that will be a big plus.
I would recommend this to a friend!

FAR MORE THAN WE DREAMED!

We bought this Roku thinking we knew a little bit about what to expect but we were shocked. There are so many choices, channels, shows, and it is organized in a way that is perfect for us. 20 minute setup from opening the box to playing angry birds and tehn watching a movie. There hasn't been a "con" yet in our experence, just "pro's." We will save enough money each month to buy at least 2 more and then new TV's now that we got rid of cable. Great product and a snap to get going even on the wireless, it just does everything for you!

I bought this because my Blu ray and Wii were doing a poor job of streaming my Netflix. The Roku has far out exceeded my expectations.

I bought the unit a month ago. Easy to set up. One and significant complaint is the sound. Hard to tell if it is the hdmi connection, Netflix or Amazon, but the sound quality is average at best. Usually requires us to increase volumn to a point that if I forget to lower and go back to cable it is blasting out of the speakers. This is my first streaming device so I can't say if the issue is unique to Roku or not.

I was able to get the Roku 3 at a great price of $60, but even at $100 it's still worth it. The line-up of stations is extensive & the remote has just the controls that you need. I love the headphone jack on it.

Had lots of channels and programs I could not get. Had to sign up and pay for several companies offering programs and channels. Just not my thing. Staying with cable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really enjoy the roku3, but sometimes it diconnects and tell me to try and reconnect. I have to shutdown the TV in order to get the roku3 to work again. It will be flashing a white light.

We have had Roku for over a month now. It is pretty cool. The only thing I wonder about is why it reloads some shows...could be the internet, but I don't think so. I have 25 M down and 5 M up..
