Does what it says it will do - Content Apps iffy.

I bought this right before Christmas 2013. Pros: Installation was a no brainer, worked as claimed in the documentation. Intuitive to use. HD content comes across as HD and streams fast from my wifi, no pixilation. Cons: needs better way to input text and numerics for searches such as on youtube and other apps. The move along a line or use an alphanumeric matrix is tedious. Would like an app on a tablet to do searches similar to chromcast - don't know if this is already available or not.
Also, some of the "live" apps are really VOD and much out of date - not Roku's fault, I know but it really reduces the attractiveness of using Roku vs using my PC for video. Much of the free content is not worth watching, very old or grade D quality. Most of the good stuff gives a trial then hits one up with subscription. Again, for me, not worth it.

so easy to set up and use! I have zero tech. ability with computers but this was a breeze! And no more annoying Comcast cable with their excessive commercials and repeats...

Moved from Google TV, will never go back!

I'm a die hard Android and Google fanboy, but unfortunately Google TV doesn't make the cut. Roku 3 is my first Roku and I am very very impressed. It performs incredibly, has plex, netflix, pandora, and all of my favorite channels. I'd recommend this to anyone just as my friend recommended it to me!

I bought this product not having had any experience with a streaming product. I have since found it has exceeded my expectations in most respects as I have found many programs that I didn't know existed any longer available through Roku. My only disappointment, if it can be called that, is that so far I don't believe I'll be able to give up my cable TV subscription as the programming through it doesn't yet include much live programming, especially in the area of news and sports

Great intuitive little gem!

It was a breeze to set up and very intuitive to use. I only gave it 4 stars because even after the first time pairing it to my iPhone it suffers from amnesia and wants me to pair it again the next time I use the Youtube app on the Roku. So I've learned it's better to just pull up the video on my phone and then set it to play on the tv, bypassing the Roku Youtube app.
