An Unexpected Pleasure

Did not expect this device as a true replacement for pay TV, but it is. Plan to cancel my cable without losing access to my favorite programs. Even my daughter watches TV now.

The device has been as good as I expected. It has streamed content from my desktop computer and played video files from an attached usb drive. It has worked equally good wired and wifi.

Great interface

After using it for about a month I have found the user navigation very easy to use unlike other internet services I have tried. Still finding other private channels that is nice to be able to install. Originally I had a problem getting the remote to work but I called and they were very helpful in getting me started.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exceeded Expectations

The interface is WAY more intuitive and easy to use than the lousy NetCast I have on my LG TV. Netflix loads quickly and the quality of picture is great. Thinking about getting one for the other TV!

I love old movies and there a a lot to choose from, there sholud be more free ones. I already have pay channel. But overall I am pleased.

Loving the Roku

I purchased two Roku devices, one for living room, one for bedroom. The device really brought my home theatre to another level because of the Plex channel / plugin. Netfix works incredibly well and am surprised at how much it is able to buffer. One thing I did not like was the activation process as it needs an Internet connection, and it left me hanging, needing to reboot the Roku even after I activated it on the roku.com activation site. My second Roku activation did not run into this issue.
Now if I had a way to access my Samba shares directly (without needing Plex in the equation), I would say this is the ultimate device.
