Great Streaming box

I wanted to reduce my cable bills or take off completely as we don't get much time to watch TV. We only need some kids shows, news etc. If I can get them through a steaming box for free, then why not? Ear phone option was great; glitch - I could not reduce the volume in that. Dish, Direct TV they have a demo channel where they would tell about "free channels for that month" little about some channels. In Iphone - Siri would help you find some apps, feature etc. Can you come up with a channel which can give details about "searched/requested" shows and which channels offer them, instead of going through thousands of apps available ? Do I need to buy one box per TV ? Is there a way to use one box for 2 TV's at home ??

I've only had it for a week or so but at this point I'd say it's been a great choice. It's worked really well for us. I did a fair amount of research before giving up cable and going to streaming and the Roku 3 was rated highest in most of the info I read. It's also amazingly easy to set up and use.

Almost Perfect

I've used a computer hooked up to a TV for 3 years now, combined with OTA TV (which I never use). This was satisfactory, not simple for guests, but I didn't care. I wanted another solution when I got an additional TV, and looked into the Roku3. It's...nearly perfect. It's missing 1 or 2 features I'd love, but it has the main ones (Plex, Netflix, Amazon, Crunchyroll, and Hulu..and more), so the price tag can't be beat (especially in comparison to building a second HTPC).
The biggest thing it's missing is a web browser, particularly one that supports videos in HTML5 for smaller websites that don't have Roku apps (at least, I haven't found this feature yet). The ability to mirror my computer screen would also be acceptable, but the web browser option would probably be more feasible.

I cut the cable cord to start the new year off. I had heard about Roku from several workers and thought I'd give it a try. I must say I'm not disappointed at all. Channels,Channels and more channels so much more to do and watch. I highly recommend this product, It's the best thing I have done

Great, but limited for streaming local content

It works great, but it is limited for streaming local videos from your PC. You have to convert your videos to mp4 in order to Roku to play them without buffering, and it also has problems with external subtitles, so you also need to embed them. Anyway, it is an awsome box, but pirates need to do a little more work to enjoy it. I would also like to Roku to have any support outside USA. You can't install any official channel from the web if you are outside of America, it is imposible to install the mobile app and of course the channel offer is tiny comparing to USA.
