Roku 3 excellent; however Remote...

Roku 3 is probably the best device I have purchased in years. Their customer service (Philippines) is the best I have ever encountered in the world of telephone customer service. My only complaint is with the remote. The head set connection failed within a few days. Seems crazy that there is not lighting on the remote - very nutz to need a flashlight to operate the remote at night in order to deal with the black icons on the black handheld remote. I would suggest that Roku sell a well lit handheld remote on their website that can replace the standard remote that is offered with their $99 streamer device. Also, in the "Get to know your remote" pages of the red manual, I suggest consolidating these two pages and labeling the functions of the remote by name instead of cross referencing each button with both a letter (on one page) with the name on the other page.

i got it about 2 months ago and love it. It does everything its suppose to. You only need the basic cable stations if you have one of these. It was easy to set up. Its a great product everybody should have.

I've had my Roku for a few years now and twice have had problems with my Internet connection. Both times a technician worked long and hard with me to resolve the problem, even though it was not a Roku problem. I love what Roku makes possible, but I am blown away by the level of support I get.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Speedy and Convenient

Little did I know how much this product would improve my life. I can watch Netflix or Hulu or Amazon Prime on my television and still be on Pinterest on my computer! It has almost no lag and I've never had difficulty with shows loading or freezing (as I've experienced with my Blu-Ray player.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great content.
Easy to use and very intuitive. most apps are very very simple to navigate through and the integration to the online account is just great
Bad:
Quality, the remote earphone jack is dead and it ain't been 2 weeks.
No BT keyboard. annoying when you have to authenticate with the Netflix app

I purchased this device and was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity while great content. The earplug in remote is brilliant. Easy setup and great content.

I was impressed with how easy it was to set up. I'm in my mid 60's and don't understand a lot of the terms used to set up electronic gear these days. The instructions are very simple for both the set up and use of the product. I am VERY happy that I bought one!! Well worth the money!!
