Best logic programing

What I liked the most about this Roku was the way it displays the programs when I look for something to watch. It's easy to use and set up.

Roku 3 is faster

I love Roku. It's smart and reliable but it was time for a new faster model for this Roku fan. The Roku 3 is much smaller, seems faster so far and the instant play is a neat feature for those sick days when you just want to do a marathon and not be bothered. It has more customizable options as well. The only real con is that there is no Zoom/Magnify option or Old View/New View toggle to help read the small text in the summary descriptions of movies and episodes. I prefer not to strain my eyes. I'm hoping the developers will come up with a fix for this soon.

Love the product as my husband and I are senior citizens and could never find any of the new programs our children and friends were recommending. Our Roku allows us to easily access all these programs and movies at a time that is convenient for us. When our grandchildren visit, we always have movie night with lots of popcorn and juices.

cable channels

Why do you have cable channels on roku and then want you to link up with a provider? If I had a cable network available I wouldn't need roku. This is very frustrating! HBO , A&E....etc Give us a price to pay like Netflix does.

Pretty good

I bought the Roku 3 a month ago. I don't subscribe to any cable service, so I was just looking for a laptop replacement for watching free internet content. It does a good job in that vein. It's easy to use and set up. A few things I don't like:
1) Many "channels" are listed as free, but still require a subscription to get any content worth watching. Very misleading.
2) There is no Hulu channel. Just a Hulu Plus channel. Disappointing considering that was my biggest use of my laptop previously.

Great product

I love this little box. There are so many times that there is nothing on cable TV, despite the many channels they offer. I know I have my Roku to see movies, documentaries and TV shows. I have two and am getting ready to purchase my third Roku

Works Great!

Device does more than I ever expected. Easy to setup. Great picture quality. Remote control works great. So easy the young kids can operate it. The PBS kids channel is great for kids. The netflix and amazon prime channels work great. Getting ready to try to integrate the Plex channel with a MythTV backend. All signs point to this will work great.

Ditch cable

I was a little wary about switching from cable and a DVR to Roku, but after 2 months, we won't be back. I recommend making a deal with a friend to get logins for premium services like ESPN or HBO, or pay for a cheap basic cable package, but even without those log ins, I'd still choose to go with Roku over $150+ per month for cable.
