I was looking for a simple way to connect my 42-inch HD Vizio to the 'Net since my 55-inch Samsung came with a built-in hub. My Roku was exactly what I needed. The beauty of it is its simplicity and ease of use. You need look no further than Roku if a quick, easy Internet hookup is what you're looking for! . . .

Yes, I did buy my Roku -3 a month ago and it works perfectly well, I have access to all the new releases, right at my fingertips. I use to run out to get the movies that has been release hoping I get there before they ran out of dvd's. Now all I have to do it click on my Roku and rent or buy them in comfort of my own home, no lines no disappointing reaction when there are no more dvd's. This is wonderful, I'm loving everything about the Roku, all the different channels, like Netflix, vudu, Hulu,and even access my facebook account, also Youtube. Television couldn't get better without using cable one price and the box is yours to keep. Thanks for this product.

Loving my Roku..before we had our laptop hooked to the TV and we had to get up and scroll through using the computer pad...now with the remote that comes with the Roku it is much easier to scroll and I find my self staying up late watching TV shows I missed. Great investment...I bought 2 and plan to buy 2 more for all the TVs.

I was having great difficulty using other methods to connect to netflix. The Roku3 player eliminated all the problems i was having with not connecting, constantly retrieving, and others.

Fast, solves buffering problem, but warning!

The Roku 3 is super fast; the speed it takes to "fire up" a show on Netflix is minimal. I was having contestant streaming problems with an old Blu Ray, thinking it was my ISP. Not so. Get the Roku 3 and those annoying buffering problems will vanish, at leas in my experience. Mine does not run "hot" like some people have said. It would be nice if Roku made a deal with ESPN directly, by-passing the need for expensive TV providers. This is the only reason I pay for cable (ESPN channels).  WARNING: I purchased mine at WalMart. It was apparently a returned unit that was put back on the shelf. Previous person who owned the device registered in his name, and all account information was recorded and left on the device. If you return your device, do a factory reset. Because I'm honest (and obviously humble--ha) I performed a factory reset immediately, wiping out the previous owner's data. I'm still not convinced the security of these is fool-proof. You have to give Roku your credit card information to operate it--which is a downside. I'm suspicious the previous person is able to "tap" into my unit with his registration information from the device ID. Walmart would not take it back because I did not have the packaging materials. So, if you return your device, wipe out all your information.
