Love it!!!

I received a Roku 3 as a gift and have love it from day one. The only disappointment was not having a Youtube channel but that has been added recently so I have no complaints. Being able to listen using a pair of headphones through the remote was a great added feature considering I have young kids whose bedrooms are close to the living room. I have no complaints.

Why Didn't We Get This a Long Time Ago?!?

We were gifted a Roku a couple of weeks ago. Although I had heard of it, I didn't really know what it was all about...now, I don't know how we ever lived without it! It's amazing all the shows available that we didn't think we'd be able to watch without our satellite. Love the RF remote since our cat lays in front of the box all the time, and no direct line of sight is needed, and we like being able to use the Roku app on our tablets. We were surprised at how small it was...I guess big things really can come in small packages!

Although I bought this roku to test it out for a project of mine that has nothing to do with watching shows on tv, instead I was looking for a way to view a jpeg stream like from an ip camera on the roku. I know there is an ip camera channel but it was not full screen and no way to make the roku start on that channel. Excluding this and focusing on the features it has and was designed for it did ok but I found the user interface to be somewhat clunky. If you want to watch netflix or hulu you can, it works but nothing special there. If you have mobile devices (phones and tablets) or computers and want to share your screen with everybody in the room this is not the device for you. I have an apple tv, google chrome cast, and an android stick pc and out of all of them I like the apple tv the most. Its not customizable but I can pretty much watch anything I want on it either directly from the apple tv or from another device then airplay it to the apple tv. The chrome cast is great for youtube videos and even netflix but apart from that not so much. I did like the remote on the roku though. All of these devices could be made infinitely better if they had a full screen web browser. Imagine being able to set the browser to display your ip camera at your front door or your baby monitor or all of your ip cameras and the ability to access this with a single button or have it set as a screen saver or PIP, this would be great. Anyway, this device does not impress me compared to the apple tv. For the same money you would be better off with the apple tv in my opinion. Even android devices can stream to the apple tv.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I spend my winters in Florida and this device is the perfect companion to travel with and I can access my Netflix account with it.

Santa brought my Roku 3 for me this past Christmas. After a very easy, fast ,and uncomplicated setup I own a great entertainment device.

This is my favorite of all my devices. I tell everyone about the Roku 3. I particularly enjoy watching programming that I dd not have time to see before retirement.

I bought this about a month ago and this beats cable tv....without the cost of month cable bills. I was able to watch the Florida State University vs Auburn University because of this Big little thing. I watch the Big Game at no cost...FREE!! On the ESPN channel...how great was that. It has paid for is self...just on that alone....thanks Roku
