Great product

The Roku was easy to setup, and has a clean interface that works well with the remote The remote is pleasantly free of all the useless buttons, and consists of just what I need, making it easy to use by touch in the dark. The headset attachment on the remote was genius! I can watch a show while my girlfriend is sleeping :-)

I purchased this as a Christmas present to myself. I am well pleased with the ease at which I can move around. I do not have television so I find the Roku 3 extremely useful. Would certainly recommend it to others.

Roku 3 is the only set top box needed for your television.  It has great features & apps, runs very fast, and I find myself using it more than my TiVo.  I just wish I could watch all of my TV through the Roku.

I got this as a gift this year and I am very happy with the product. I find it to actually be faster than using the Netflix app on my smart tv. The wifi connection is amazing and they offer movies still in theaters.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought a Roku on a recommendation from our son. We love it. In fact we recommended the Roku to our daughter, a friend, and our other son. They now have them also.

Have not had much success with Roku. Streaming is interuped so many time we give up. Could be Amazon Prime, Hughes Net or the Roku itself.

Roku is great

I enjoy it.  It was easy to setup and is easy to use. The response time is fast and everything looks good (the Roku itself, the menus and the picture).  I purchased it primarily for NHL GameCentre, and cannot get that to work, but other than that, for watching Netflix or Crackle I like it very much.

Great player with one issue

The device is very easy to setup and use. Navigation is very fast and there are tons of channels to choose from. I already have streaming through my t.v. and BluRay player but now use the Roku for all streaming. However, the main reason I bought this was for playing personal media via the USB port. Using DLNA via my BluRay player was a real pain. It was time consuming to access the files and the remote features were terrible (almost non-existent). The Roku remote works great with personal media and the player does a decent job of playing most popular file types. The issue is movies will freeze 2-3 times during playback causing the device to Roku to reboot each time. I've updated firmware, done factory resets, tried different USB drives (3.0 and 2.0), a HDD connected via USB, etc. all with the same result. Music files do not have this issue. Just playback during movies. LUCKILY, the Plex app works great. It is a bit more involved since I need a computer to run the Plex Media Server. But I have a spare laptop up to the task. Plex also handles more file types than the Roku player alone and that is notable. Even if the USB worked perfectly I probably would have defaulted to Plex to access my media.
So I'm a let down by the USB performance. It is usable but just not reliable enough to make it the primary way to access personal media. Luckily the streaming features, great remote control (I love the wifi and that you can plug a headset into it), and Plex make it a worthy device to have.
