Great selection & fast response

I have had the Roku3 for several months and am very happy that I made the upgrade. The unit downloads movies more quickly, and there are no buffering "burps" that can be annoying. Also I love the ability to view programs from the past that I have missed....definitely takes the place of a DVR service.The only disadvantage, which isn't Roku's fault, is that Netflix redesigned how their service interfaces with Roku, and the new display is difficult to read for these old eyes.

Much Better than Sony Blue Ray Players

I got a Roku when my Sony Blue Ray Player stoppped streaming Netflix due to some Sony internal problem. And then I realized what I was missing on the Sony. While I could access the popular stuff (Hulu, Vudu, Amazon) on the Sony Blue Ray - the choices on the Roku are almost infinite (I just can't list them all here)!

excellent product. there is cheaper priced units by others but that is why they are cheaper. i use it for amazon, hulu, netflix as i do not have cable. there is always something to watch.

I had no idea of what to expect of my Roku 3. Since I currently have TWC service, the Roku app for it is a great benefit...better than my standard box. Overall, the device keeps a good signal with my home wifi with only infrequent interruptions. The picture is smooth with only scrolling marquees seeming to lag a bit. Took a few tries to sync the remote with the Roku box. Overall, I highly recommend it.

This is my first Roku, the Roku 3. Prior to this I was using features of other devices to view streaming media on my TV (for instance, my Blu-ray player). I have to say the Roku3 is much, much better. It is quite quick, intuitive to learn to use and have an impressive array of streaming channels. I find myself watching streaming videos, especially movies, three or four times as often as in the past, with a concomitant reduction in the number of movies I watch via cable channel scheduling.
So far my experience with the Roku 3 has been almost error free -- occasionally it has locked up as I scan a channel's contents, but I discovered that I can easily get by that by hitting the 'home' button.
All in all, a very enjoyable and useful purchase!
