I bought the Roku after I switched phones from an apple format to an andriod. I was getting tired of sending vast amounts of money to Cupertino, CA!!!! Out with the iphone also mean out with apple TV. Well, now I have TONS of choices out of the apple box. Reasonable rent rates, buy rates and diversity. If Roku focus on choices and smart simple software and not bundling/gouging and minimizing choice they will continue to succeed. This could very easily replace cable or SAT with just a little more channel development and expansion.
Note- Needs bluetooth for keyboard inputs.

I purchased my Roku in October 2013 after not knowing much about it. Not too many people (that I knew) had heard about it so I purchased the 3. Since then everybody I know knows about it and a couple of people have purchased it because I cannot stop raving about it. The good thing is they too are passing on my enthusiasm. LOVE it.

The concept of streaming video seemed beyond me but I hung in and finally found Roku. The explanation of these products was easy to understand. I picked the Roku 3 as it would require only an HDMI cable to connect to my TV. It also connected easily to wireless system. We have been enjoying the streaming video and have had no problems since we started about a month ago.

I have been pretty happy with the Roku except for the fact that it has been freezing pretty regularly lately. I only got it last month. We use Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix often and all three have been "stalling" recently, where we had to back out of the video or app all together and replay. I thought it was a cable issue (Time Warner is often the worst), but Netflix worked fine on another device I have hooked up to the same TV. I also wish the ROku would play more types of files from my external hard drive. I have many files that aren't MP4's that I cannot watch through the Roku. That was disappointing.
