I didn't put 'works great' because it has dropped a few movies on Netflix.
What this means is that it freezes up part way thru the movie and has to be reloaded.
If this is a fault of Netflix then I apologize for this review. If it is something that Roku can work on - great!

I really like the convenience and simplicity of the Roku unit I purchased. I would have given it five stars but sometimes it has trouble loading and once it stopped in the middle of a show and started loading all over again. I don't know if that is a usual occurance or if it's just my unit but it's annoying. Other than that, it's great.

We Call it the Magic Box

We bought the Roku3 in mid-November and haven't looked back; in fact, we call it the magic box because there's so much on it. Children's channels, multiple movie and TV channels, and it's insane how much stuff you can find on the Roku. Most of it is free but there's a lot of options on it for pay channels/programs and it's generally cheaper than buying DVDs and BluRays from a brick-and-mortar store. The M-Go option is also cheaper than Amazon most of the time. The video quality is going to depend upon which version you buy, which connection you use to join the Roku to your TV, and your internet speed. We have the Roku3 connected to our Sony Bravia via HDMI with a decent household WiFi so delay and interruptions are minimal at worst. Fixing anomalies is intuitive and easy. My whole family enjoys the magic box and we get endless viewing options from it. I wholly encourage anyone without one to buy one.

I already had Apple TV since about 6 months but got a chance to buy roku 3 on a deal with a dishworld subscription. I am loving given the number of apps it has (when compared to Apple TV) and adding youtube just after 1 week I bought is a super bonus. I feel its pretty fast too.

Lame no native DLNA

i decided to return this product as it couldnt read data from my media server on its own instead had to use other apps that needed the computer to trans code wich i did not build my server for so sticking to using the xbox 360 to stream all my media since both new systems dont do what the 360 does yet if ever
