Best option for streaming content

I've been really pleased with my Roku. I got it hoping to get rid of an $8/mo charge for a set-top box; it will pay for itself in a year. Plus, I can access a lot of content that's not available on demand. Travels very well, too. Also got an Apple TV for another TV. With a few exceptions Roku has much more extensive and better channel options. Apple TV has airplay and optical digital out; otherwise, Roku beats it hands down. Channels work a little differently between Roku and Apple TV. For example, PBS channel lets you resume from where you left off on Apple TV but not Roku. Sound on Roku only works through TV; while supposedly sound can then go from TV to home theater system, I've not been able to get 5.1 sound that way from the Roku. If not for the limits in audio output options, I'd give it 5 stars.

Love the selection Roku offers

I'm so happy that I decided not to run cable around the house. Cable would have included so many channels that I didn't/wouldn't watch.
So happy when I found Pandora on the Roku 3. We now have music back in our home everyday!

easy for a technologically challenged individual

I am enjoying Pandora very much. I like the free movies and want to learn to find them.I don't think it is hard: I just have only been using the Roku a couple of days. I also very much like the movie choices that I can have if I want to pay. I was paying $95 a month for Direct TV and had very few if any choices of something new, so I won't feel bad paying to see a movie I have never seen.
The remote is easy to use. The layout of the buttons is great! I am a slow learner in some areas, so I appreciate the thought that went into the design. I am very pleased. Incidentally, my dog likes K D Lang Radio. Isn't that a hoot?

I don't watch TV, but stream it from my computer. Well, I have a large TV, not doing anything, so now it is...
New channels are being updated all the time, just waiting for NBC, CWS, CBS, ABC. Some people say why don't I have a digital antenna, but there is to much noise and no brand of digital antenna works.

FAST and RESPONSIVE!

Wanted a SMART TV but don't really like integrated devices so I bought the ROKU 3 to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, and ripped DVD's stored on a flash drive. I couldn't be happier. Does everything I wanted and more.

The Best Stream system

I bought my Roku 3 about 1 month ago and dont stop of watching movies, series and many others videos. Thousand of movies, music videos and free channels. Easy to move from one room to another room in my house.

Great solution for streaming Netflix

I purchased this as a solution to stream my Netflix instantly to my tv and have been very pleased with my purchase. It was quick to install and setup, and is easy to move back and forth between two of our televisions. Navigation is easy and fast, and I love having the ability to use the remote with headphones for late night watching. While we have many free channels set up as well we don't watch most of them other than YouTube - mainly for concerts. Paired with Netflix Watch Instantly though, I'm never lacking for something to watch.
