I have used ROKU 3 for about two months now. I love it. In fact I bought a second one not long time ago. It is very easy to use, fast, has plenty of apps. In general I use for HULU Plus, VEVO and apps related to Travel. It is truly great product.

Had been using APPLE TV, changed to ROKU3 for Redbox. No comparison! ROKU3 has so much more content. Very pleased. Now if it only had an antenna for local channels.......

Finally got fed up with haggling with Direct TV and thanks to Roku was able to cancel my service. I do wish there was a way to search for free tv without checking out individual programs and/or channels. But I've been able to muddle through and remain well entertained.

Bought our roku 3 in December and have used it almost every day. We live in an area that still doesn't not give us access to the ridiculously expensive, cable and it's alternative, satellite tv. We do have DSL so we can stream from the Roku 3. We also don't watch most network television because the programming has become so moronic it's painful to watch. We love BBC, Public television, and some shows on non-cable channels we just can't get with our rooftop antenna. We have Amazon Prime so that is the predominant channel we use. That said, getting back to the Roku 3 itself, I can say that two, over 50, non-tech, people were able to unbox, setup, and get rolling, with hardly any help from our twenty-something kids. I always find the remote to electronics to be the most challenging. While I have yet to figure out every trick it can do, I'm happy to say that I am able to use it with little frustration. We like the port for headphones so that when our granddaughter visits and wants to watch something we've already watched with her a 100 times, she can watch and we can have quiet, and yes, we bought her volume-limiting headphones. The only downside, if you'd call it that, is that the Roku 3 seems to get very hot and that concerns me. I suppose I could unplug it when not in use but that would involve getting down on the floor and reaching under the dresser where is is plugged in but it's not a routine I wish to establish.

I would like to see more availability of old TV series. Some movie sections are not interesting at all. Need more variety. Pandora is super! NetFlix is super! Add more exercise videos and old TV show reruns.

I initially purchased it because I got it on sale for 65 dollars at the Main Exchange. However after using I am very pleased with it. It was a great purchase. Several of my friends now want one but can't find it for the prize I got it for.

One of the features I liked about my DVD player was I could stream, and it had a USB port, in which I could insert a flashbar and watch videos. A handy feature, I no longer had to burn DVD's just to watch something a couple times. Just the unit is a bit bulky and it stays in the living room. Then my son visited and told me he was BETA testing a Roku. He told me of its features and how handy it was. I put this on my Christmas wish list and happily received a Rouku 3 for a present. The ultimate feature is, it is so small, I can take it to another room in the house if I like, or put it in my pocket and take it to someone else's house if I am traveling or visiting. It has the streaming feature that I liked with the DVD player and it has the USB port. I was going to be happy with that. But WAIT!! There's more!!!! After using the Rouku 3 a few times and reading the instructions, I quickly found I could stream videos, or music, or pictures straight from my computer! This save a lot of time. I can stay in my living room (or any room of choice) and rather than copy files to a flashdrive, and take it to my Roku, I just set it up on my computer and scroll to what I want and watch/listen to it. I can save the flashdrives for things like documents for jobs, or to pass to a friend. I have not had my Roku for a full month yet, but I have already enjoyed features both anticipated and unanticipated. I have already told several people about this device and highly recommend this. Well played Roku! How many years till the 3D technology? Obviously, I recommend the Roku to anyone thinking about purchasing it. Even though I did not purchase it myself, I was planning on doing so and had liked the pricing of it.
