I have been using my ROKU 3 for about a month and am really enjoying it. Almost returned it because when I first started using it, YouTube was not available but since then ROKU has added YouTube. The connection is blazing fast, much faster than my BluRay players and I like that it is always on. The only improvement I would recommend would be an interface with my home network, the ability to view photos and videos directly from my PC. Other than that it is a nice piece of equipment.

Was very easy to install, and easy to use. Eliminates to need to go out and purchase a smart tv to take advantage of all apps now available. Just Amazing!!!

Originally, I bought the Roku 3 for access to Netflix. However, I have found so many amazing free channels available on my Roku that I won't be subscribing to Netflix for a long, long time. Maybe later. The Roku 3 display is excellent on my TV, helped along because my streaming speed is between 15 and 20 Mbits. This is one of my very best purchases of 2013. Happy New Year!

Great product but missing seperate audio channels

The Roku 3 is a great product and is an improvement over Roku 2. Having an Ethernet port this time around is a major plus for those who have fast internet plans and want to ensure those speeds are utilized. The downfall is you have to use HDMI for audio pass through. This to me is a major downfall for a lot of people. A lot of smart tv's only have 1 HDMI input with ARC (audio return channel). Those with older audio/surround sound receivers that do not have an HDMI output are out of luck. You may need to get an HDMI switch in addition to Roku or figure something else out. Why they didn't include a separate audio output for either digital coaxial or optical is beyond me. It would have made sense. I'd recommend this product if you have a very simple set up, but if you have cable, an older audio receiver, or only one hdmi input with arc then a smart blu ray player or something else might be a better option.

I researched and considered for months regarding whether I could actually go through with ditching cable, and if I did, which internet tv option I would choose. Well, all of the consideration paid off - I bought the Roku XS first, ditched the cable bill, and loved it so much that I bought a Roku 3 for my other tv. I love this little device so much that I've tried to get almost every single friend and family member to get one. I can't imagine ever going back to cable, and I feel very confident that Roku is the best internet tv option out there. The best thing about the Roku 3 model in particular for me is the ability to plug headphones into the remote and listen to the tv that way - I have an old, very loud treadmill and it was near impossible for me to hear the tv, even turned WAY up, before this problem-solving feature. Now I can work out and hear my favorite shows with no problem. I can't say enough good things about Roku - just get one!!!

Easy to hook up to television via HDMI port. Provides great television with many additional free channels. Games are also included, some are free, some may cost $1 - $4.
