Does not play back DTS tracks using Plex

Bought this with high hopes I could replace my Boxee Box with a Roku + Plex for local video playback. Most of my video has DTS tracks which the Roku cannot play (or pass-thru to a receiver that can decode it), at least not that I can find. Online setup REQUIRES a credit card, however if you call the support number they will create an account for you without having to specify a credit card number (note when you login to this new account it will ask for your CC info, but now there is a skip button at the bottom right on the screen)

Stopped playing after 2 weeks. Got it back on line after Going through the opening process. Runs well now. Am happy with it so far.

Bought a Roku after trying another smart blueray player. The Roku is in a different class. Easy to install and use. Streaming quality is great.

I have owned an "original" Roku for many years (with no problems) and purchased a Roku 3 recently just so I could utilize the RedboxInstant by Verizon streaming service. When Redbox first started their streaming service, they only offered service through certain models of Samsung BluRay players, Xbox, etc....took them quite awhile to get around to offering their service on a Roku. I can emphatically state: the streaming with the BluRay was horrendous......but, such a pleasure with the Roku. I'm a 67-yr-old female and installed it in less than 10 minutes. The only problem I had was getting to the correct website in order to enter the "activation code". The website mentioned on my television screen "got me no where". And, I couldn't find anywhere on the Roku website (not even in the Q&A section) where to enter the "code"......I had to place a call and have the service rep activate my unit.
The most pleasant surprise.....Roku actually emailed me a $20 off deal on the Roku 3......S-W-E-E-T !!!!! I "cut the cable" almost a year ago.....with Roku and RedboxInstant, I have more than enough to view.
