Interesting gadget

I bought this about six weeks ago to find out what it could do. It has kept me amused for all that time, there are lots of channels to flick through and so you can always find something to watch. The picture quality is good, the sound is good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am completely satisfied with my unit. Adding You Tube was an added plus. I have also added Acorn TV so my next step is getting rid of cable

there is enough content to satisfy everyone in our household. No need to pay outrageous cable bills again. What I want when I want it. The Roku was better than I anticipated.

Great for Streaming Video & Music

Streaming Netflix through a 3-yr-old Blu-Ray got old fast: dropped connections, poor video quality and, no 5.1 sound. Enter Roku 3. Solid streaming, excellent audio, plethora of free channels (cooking, music, religion, some movies), compact, ultra-compact.

Great first step in CUTTING the $$$$ Cable

I bought this right before Christmas and now have been playing with it for about a month. It take a little getting used to as you have to search what you want to watch, BUT what we have found we are now only watching things we truely enjoy. I have also added PlayOn and PlayLater to my home computer and iPad. It really helps to add even more flexiblitly and recording options. I plan to buy another Roku 3 for my cabin -- awesome.

We original bought a Chromecast but returned it whe we learned it would not work with Amazon Prime. A friend recommended the Roku. We sent the Chromecast back to Amazon and purchased the Roku locally. It was easy to set up and we are very happy with it.

I subscribed to Dish International and got the Roku 3 for a discounted price. The Roku 2 was free with their subscription, but I chose to pay a little bit and get the top of the line Roku 3. That was a good decision.
What a great little box! It is fast fast fast. Amazon, Vudu, Netflix, Dish International all work really nicely on the Roku. I recently had the chance to watch Dish International by running the Dish app on a Samsung SmartTV, and that's when the difference in the experience of a Roku really became obvious. The TV surely has slower processing power, and that's what highlighted the value for money get with the Roku 3.
The Roku App and Remote on Samsung Galaxy S4 also work very nicely with this box. The only thing that did not work was video sharing - that's probably an issue with the App.
I run the Roku 3 through a Yamaha Receiver connected to a Panasonic Plasma. Both the picture quality, the sound quality are great. Also, the Roku is very responsive and rarely do you feel like you have pressed a remote button and the device did not respond within a fraction of a second.
I love the small little feature that the background of the Roku main menu changes based on the season, holidays etc.
Great job Roku team!

Wasn't sure I would like the Roku...but fell in love instantly! Fast streaming stole my heart! So easy to use! My 7 year old loves using the headphones to watch some of his shows on Netflix. Best purchase of 2013!
