I set up my Roku and cut the cable about a month ago now. Overall I'm very pleased. There's lots of good free content and plenty (more than enough) rent/buy options. I've been using Netflix for a long time and it's really nice on the Roku. I also signed up for Hulu Plus, and it locks up on me pretty regularly. Always at the beginning of a show/movie and it's just a 2 minute reboot to fix it, so not a big deal. I highly recommend the iphone app. It's so handy to have the remote always in easy reach, and the ability to play content to my big screen is cool. Many of the channels have a very quirky, homegrown feel, like a new technology that has yet to mature. Reminds me of the early days of www. But it's clearly going in the right direction and it works well enough. I'm sticking with it. In fact I'll probably get another one for my second TV soon.

I've owned the Roku 3 for approximately one month. It works very well with my wireless even though the router is rather far from the unit. I have had no problems with signal strength, buffering, or any of the other issues I experienced with the media player incorporated with my Blue Ray DVD player I used before.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my Roku 3 a month ago and then canceled my television subscription. I LOVE my Roku. It is very convenient, and since I have been using my Amazon Prime subscription more and more to view show, the Roku was the ideal choice. My kids love the programming and games available, and I love how much money I save. The quality of programming on free channels such as TED, Smithsonian and PBSkids makes Roku well worth the money I spent.

I love the 5-min setup process and the fact that the remote doesn't have 50 buttons on it. It's super easy to use and browse the stations. It's clunky to search, but don't know how you'd fix that short of adding a keyboard. The games that are available are mostly pretty lame, but we didn't buy this as a gaming device. The iphone app that lets you use the phone as a remote and also play your photos/videos/music is a cool feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does everything a streaming player should do. Linked my HTC One to 'cast' Youtube searches or use the Roku App for other things. I have a five year old 720p TV and things look really nice on it. I cannot seem to cast Google Play purchased videos I think due to file format incompatibilities. Not even an option on YouTube when signed in to my account. Would like to see that please!

I have had my Roku 3 for one month now. The miniature size was a surprise, the set-up very straight forward other than I was to slow reading the T&Cs so I timed out on entering the registration code and had to re-do it. Very pleased with the general performance of Roku 3 and priced is reasonable. Disappointed there are almost no live network TV news channels available (like CNN) even by subscription. Not sure Roku is to blame...just somewhat disappointed!!
