I bought the Roku in hopes that the device would be better than the other name brand media player I purchased a year ago. Hands down, the Roku is a real performance machine ! If your thinking of purchasing another brand of media player...think again ! The Roku Rocks !

Get Rid of regular TV

I have had a Roku of various configs and about a month ago I purchased a Roku 3. Great decision! I love the Channel lineup, and using Netflix for example I can watch either Movies or TV series without commercials. I also Love the remote feature that lets me plug in headphones so I don't disturb others. I do live in an assisted living facility and found regular TV too expensive. I use my Roku exclusively along with DVD's and a smart BlueRay player so I can use my Amazon Prime for Movies also. I think this is a easy to setup and use gold mine in a small neat box.

Excellent alternative to extra cable box

I use this on a spare TV in the kitchen. Plenty of free choices for movies, shows and even recipes. The box is small and is hidden behind TV. The product works great, and is very easy to use.

everything I'd hoped

I'm very happy with my Roku 3. I'd thought about getting one for a long time, but was able to stream my Netflix through my blu-ray player so I kept putting it off. Finally I decided to get one and it's great! My Netflix streams much faster and smoother through my Roku and I can now access other content before unavailable such as Amazon video. Yay Roku!

Great Entertainment Purchase

We purchased our ROKU about a month ago after a couple of years of frustration with movies freezing, long load times and the start and stop behavior watching Netflix through our DVD unit. After an easy setup our Roku was up and running. While we have not looked through all of the channels available our only question is why did we wait so long to get one.

works great

I have had this for almost a month now. It performs well and is surprisingly fast. I was using a video game console to connect to Netflix. The Roku is much faster and I really like the head phone jack on the remote.
