Definatly the best Netflix experience of any other media streaming or smart TV i have used. I purchase one of the very first Roku boxes in 2008/09 and the Roku 3 is a huge improvement. i am purchasing a second one ASAP when they are on sale again.

I would simple expect addition of more channels to this device, for now HDMI and Ethernet capability makes it perfect choice.

Roku 3 has remote control issues...

I have been enjoying our Roku 3 for about two months now. Easy setup. Great user interface. Pandora sounds great. Netflix looks great. Unfortunately the Roku will completely freeze occasionally during use. The unit does not respond to remote commands at all. Yes the batteries are NEW. The only way to cure the problem when it happens is to unplug the power from the Roku. The system restarts then works fine for a day or so. Then freezes up again. Searching the web shows that this not uncommon. Kind of frustrating. Will need to contact HQ for help I think. Other than
that, we love our Roku 3. But please give us YOUTUBE!

The Best Streaming Player Available

I actually sold my PS3 to buy a streaming device since I was primarily using the console to stream Netflix and Hulu. Considering the $35 Google Chromecast's only selling point for me was the price, it really came down to the Apple TV and Roku; I went with the latter for several reasons. First, Apple TV doesn't yet support Amazon Instant Video; Roku does. The Roku also has a Slacker, an Internet radio service that blows Pandora out of the water. While I can't see myself using a majority of the channels available on Roku, I feel much better about only using 5% of Roku's 1000+ available channels over being confined to the 30 or so channels available on Apple TV. Why? Because I support forward-looking companies (Apple hasn't updated their self-proclaimed "hobby" device since 2012). I will say that features like AirPlay and access to iTunes content would be nice to have -- then again, I don't own much iTunes content; most of my music is on Spotify (channel available on Roku). Trust me when I say this is without question the only little black box you need connected to your television.

I have owned this for one month now. I was so impressed that I gave two more for Holiday gifts for family members. I have what is rated as 'good' high definition resolution. There is an HDX super resolution but I don't know how to get it. I have superior WiFi but my cable speed is one notch below highest to save cost. I love my Roku 3!

I reviewed the features of most of the set-top boxes in a Best Buy store and chose the Roku 3 as being the one most applicable to my type of usage. Set-up was easy and the Roku 3 worked right out of the box.

I have the Roku 3 because I wanted the option of a wired connection. However, I use the WIFI connection and had no buffering problems. Quite pleased
