I had a Roku 2 for about 3 years, jsut upgraded to a Roku 3. I tell others about Roku all the time. I love mine.

Much Faster

I received my Roku 3 as a Christmas gift and once I spent the 20 minutes to get it totally hooked up I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it is!
My only negative comment is that when I go to my home screen, most of the time the pictures of the channels are missing and I have to read the tiny type at the top of my screen. Sadly, my young children who can't read yet aren't as fortunate....

What a picture!

Bought the Roku 3 right before Christmas. We have watched Amazon Prime through our son's Wii but it was always a poor picture. We bought the Roku hoping it would have a better connection giving better quality--and we were right! It has outstanding picture quality! It always has a strong connection to our internet even though we have several wireless devices sharing the signal! I hope more and more TV stations add a Roku channel!!

Great New Way To Access DVD Movies and Play Games

I received a ROKU 2 for Christmas. The connection and setup was much easier than I expected. It consisted of establishing a WIFI connection with my AT&T Gateway Router at the other end of the house, the AT&T Gateway WIFI Network Password can be found printed on the Gateway's label. It also required connecting an HDMI Cable between the ROKU unit and a vacant HDMI Input on my Sharp Digital Television. The Sharp, or the AT&T Gateway, remotes can be used to choose the selected HDMI Input to your television The initial setup procedure is accomplished using the ROKU computer generated keyboard on your TV Screen and various control buttons on the ROKU Remote. I would check the two AA Batteries that come with your remote, mine were discharged right out of the box and this caused some initial setup problems ! It's great having immediate access to an array of movies for, in my case, only $7.99 a month for a Netflix streaming video account !

We love our ROKU 3!!!! I rarely watch regular TV anymore. Set-up was quick and easy, virtually plug and play. There's something for each one of us - movies, sports, tech, music . . . even our dogs have their own channel. Love it. Love it. Love it. We can't stop talking about with anyone who will listen. *LoL*

Beats cable

Once I got past the initial setup it worked fine (but that took 2 days) and involved disabling the security on my router. A simple email to Roku and a returned phone call the next day my security was back on and the Roku is working perfectly. My cable company at the first of the year increased their rate by $14/month, dropped Starz/Encore from the package I had (it's now $12 more to get it back) so now I'm planning on dropping cable except for the internet connection. I get local OTA ABC, FOX, NBC, CBS and PBS with an antenna.

I got my ROKU as a gift 4 years ago and have enjoyed using it ever since. I have seen the number of channels grow tremendously. So easy to use.

Bought Roku just before the holidays after researching for the best streaming device. It is the best invention since the wheel! Cable tv will soon be a thing of the past. We are streaming our favorite music, mysteries from Acorn tv and music from Roku's music channels. Thanks team Roku for making this 60 plus year old woman very happy!
