Replace cable.

I thought I would usethis to replace cable, but choices are limited. Also have consistent problems getting a picture unless I change display setting almost every time I turn it on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't believe I didn't buy one sooner. Streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime and Plex could not be easier. Nice interface and very very fast.
And the headphone jack on the remote....what a great idea. I can watch all my shows very loud without disturbing my wife's sleep.

Perfect T.V. Accessory!

I bought this as an early Christmas gift for my husband and boy am I glad I did! He loves his Roku 3! There is always something for him to watch and he even set up accounts for the kids and I so Roku remembers what we all like to watch and helps make recommendations. My husband even told me the other day we could cancel our satellite subscription and just use our new Roku as far as he was concerned! Really simple to set up and so easy to use. Thanks for making such an affordable way to watch all our favorite shows and movies.

Exceeds Expectations

I bought my roku 3 in July and it has been the best electronics purchase ever. There is so much content on it and so many channels, with many more coming (youtube just got a channel!!) I have one in my room hooked up with a Mohu leaf antenna and I probably watch more tv in there than I do in my den with direct tv. Using the normal "cable" setup seems like a thing of the past.

Best streaming device available

I went through 4 DVD/Blu-ray players looking for a device to use for streaming shows/movies as I was getting ready to cancel my cable television. After having issues with all of the DVD players I tried, whether it be slow UI response times, inability to search, etc, I finally decided to try the Roku. Very glad I did. It has a very quick interface and good selection of channels. The only think I would prefer is to be more transparent on which channels are truly free. Several channels are "free", but once in the channel, to view any of the content, you have to pay. Seems very deceptive. Outside of that, I am very pleased with my purchase.
