My 1st Roku

Bought my first roku 3 at Best Buy this month and I have to say I don't know why I waited so long! This device is easy to use and setup and with great results. Combined with Netflix and Acorn TV this is a lifesaver.

Great Channels and content.

I have been using the Roku for a few weeks now. I have been able to take the roku with me to my girlfirends and other places and access the content I enjoy. DLNA is still missing along with being able to play local remote content. There are a few channels that are low quality and crash after a few moments. The Big channels such as Netflix, hulu, and amazon are working great!

I bought the Roku after seeing it at a friends home. I really liked the fact that it had so many channel options, and a lot of them are free or cost under $10.00 to subscribe.

Speedy and Simple

The Roku out performs most devices in this class and aside from one missing feature, it is the best way to enter the "smart tv" arena without buying a so-called SmartTV. The only thing that's missing is the ability to put the device into a "sleep" mode so that a connected monitor or TV will also sleep. For my setup, I must unplug either the Roku or the TV when I want it to be "off".

This month I'll be canceling my cable subscription thanks to Roku. Between Netflix and Hulu and Amazon I have about all the content I need. I also like that I can play movies from a USB drive (something my Apple TV lacks). The icing on the cake is being able to plug headphones into the remote and watch shows while my partner sleeps.

Great things in a small package!

A few moths ago I never heard of this little device. Purchased as a way of viewing my Netflix on my large screen, it has become the entertainment center of my holidays. Music, movies, and even a crackling fire! My favorite new toy!

I was using Samsung streaming with my Blueray player. It took forever to load. THe Roku 3 is lightning fast!
