Wonderful streaming device it has the most channels available. The audio % video are of the finest quality.
The player is very small about the size of your palm.

My Roku 3 replaces an X-box 360. I am not a console game player and only used the X-box for access to Netflix and other services. I love the ease-of-use of the Roku! Easy set-up, simple menus and absolutely silent. I am very pleased!

Bought a Roku 3 in late November, 2013. Been wanting a Roku for a while but held out for the Canadian availability of version 3.
Well made product, nice engineering, packaging, the whole presentation is first rate. Setup as easy as promised, although you need to have access to a computer for some things. ie: "Log into your account and input the following code on your Roku". I managed with an iPad.
Software is quick, navigation is intuitive, if somewhat dated, but it all works just the way you think it should.
Content is a problem, seems limited and mostly amateurish. I understand the Byzantine world of international copy write must make it hard to license content for viewing in Canada but there seems to be HUGE difference in availability twixt USA and Canada. Netflix for instance seems to be less than 10% of US titles. No Hulu, or a load of more useful channels. If you are a fan of I Love Lucy episodes from 1957 you are in luck however. This is a serious drawback and I hope that Roku can keep their promise to make it better for Canucks but it seems to be taking a very long time.
Best thing for me is the recent addition of a native channel allowing access to a thumb or external HD via the valuable USB connector. I have a lot of TV content on my computer system and am able to load a few series on a thumb drive and watch marathon sessions of Justified or Major Crimes whenever I want. Nice interface, works well. Is quite fussy regarding format however and I find I have to reformat all of my content from .AVI or XVID to MP4 for viewing. Usually a slow process. You can also view Matroska, (MKV) files but be careful because the Roku will not pass through the AC3 audio that MKV rippers seem to like best. You can hook up an external HD as easily as the thumb drive although I have read that the catalog routine on startup can be slow on a large drive.
I am fairly geeky but using the PLEX channel to access my internal network successfully has eluded me so far. They did just release a new and improved version which I will try soon. It is currently far too complex a method for my liking.
All in all I am happy to have the Roku in my stable of devices. I understand that there are multiple methods available for cheating the system and faking US addies for access to US channels and sites but you must pay a monthly fee, or several in some cases, to get things like Hulu Plus or USA Netflix. I find the extra costs and accounts set up a bridge too far and the whole "How to beat the system" mindset a little bit distasteful for me. Your mileage may vary of course.
That is MHO.
Thanks
Tom

My only gripe is that they didn't invent this years ago.
