We bought a Netflix suscription, which we were enjoying through our Wii, until we bought the ROKU3. There are so many channels to choose from, and it is so easy to use, it rocks! The only thing missing, and we still have our fingers crossed, is YouTube. I am sure that with enough fans, like me, asking for it, they will satisfy our craving for the Tube. Thanks Roku!

Most Revolutionary Device Since the DVR

I don't have a game system so the only way I could view streaming content was to get a laptop, wireless keyboard, and a wireless air mouse and hook it up to my TV. And then the control was a bit complicated. My wife would make me queue up movies for her because she was afraid of touching it. I was looking for a simpler alternative. After researching my options I decided to try the Roku 3.
I have to say, it is small, easy to set up, and (once I set up the channels for her) my wife has no hesitation using the interface without my help. We are now able to effortlessly enjoy our Netflix and HBO Go subscriptions on our TV. There are other great free channels we enjoy as well as a YouTube channel so we don't have to circle around a laptop to enjoy a video now. The Plex server software and channel allows you to stream any movies you may have purchased digital copies for right from your PC to the TV. And, if you don't want to do that, you can put a digital copy of a movie on a thumb drive and plug it into the Roku and play it. We are also enjoying the Angry Birds Space game you can play with the remote. Controls are good and I look forward to what games may be added in the future.
Only complaint is that there is no way to view the free Hulu site. There is only a channel for the pay version on Roku. Other than that, any other streaming content seems to have it's own channel.
I am so impressed with this little device. I find myself using it more than I am watching regular TV because it is so convenient. It is changing how I watch TV and movies in the same way the DVR has revolutionized the way we get programing. It was one of the best tech purchases I have ever made.

Simply works

Have been used it for a month. Very pleased with it. Can watch lots of free/paid stuff. Great video/sound quality. The only complain is that certain program has judder issue. This may due to 24/25 fps? Otherwise, works very fast and smooth.

This is the best streaming player I have ever owned. The ony thing that would make it better Is if you could Air Play apps from your IOS device.

Love my Roku! Problems with the remote

Love my Roku and the possibilities with the various channels. Bye bye cable! Only thing I am unhappy with is the remote when using the headphones. For whatever reason when using the remote and having the headphones plugged in, the remote "crashes" and becomes unresponsive. Have to take the batteries out and stop using the headphones.

Very easy to use. Customer service is great if you have problems. Makes your TVinternet ready but much cheaper than buying those expensive sets that will be obsolete and can't be updated.
