Movies--great! Fox News Channel--HORRIBLE!

I bought two Roku3's, one for myself and one for my wife. My wife watches movies almost exclusively and is thrilled with the exceptionally wide movie selection -- especially after adding Netflix to the mix.
My experience, however, is quite different. I purchased the Roku for my room primarily to watch the news, and specifically to watch Fox News channel. While the Wall Street Journal channel is nicely up to date, the Fox News Channel seems to be updated only as an afterthought. Some regular FNC programs are up to a week behind. This is unexcusable. FNC is the highest-rated and most-watched network on cable/satellite TV, yet Roku gives it only token attention. Additionally, on all such TV shows, one is given the choice to watch show clips or "comlete shows." As of now, I haven't found any complete shows, only additional clips. I'm very disappointed with this situation, and Roku owes it to their customers to get on top of the problem. As for the Roku hardware, I have no complaints. The box works as advertized and is limited only by the speed of one's internet service. We live in the country and our internet speed goes up and down. When it's working correctly, movies and show clips load very rapidly. My recommendation: if you love movies, Roku is the way to go. If you are interested in up-to-date news, you are out of luck until Roku gives news programming the attention it needs. These issues are the only reasons I've given Roku average ratings. If these problems were addressed, I would rate it excellent.

Tv without the commericals

I bought the Roku 3 model about 9 months ago and have never looked back to cable or sattelite. There's so much to watch, but I recommend being patient. Matter of fact as of December 30th they have added YouTube. It just keep getting better!

A good needed product

I have to admit this did not perform as well as I had hoped because I do not have(nor was I told I would need) high-speed internet. I do have wireless but not high-speed. I am planning on getting high-speed and I will write a new review then. I know people that have Roku and they love them.

We have an Apple TV in our main viewing area but only has Wi-Fi and will not work in my office. Bought the Roku 3 as it offers hard wire connection as well as Wi-Fi. Seems to handle our slow internet better, has 20 times the channels, works with my android tablet and have just loaded 'Plex' to access our home network.

I bought my device about 2 months ago and absolutely love it, it works way better than the Netgear Neotv that I originally was using, no lag and streaming is flawless, so glad I made this choice!!!

Roku and now using Aereo for my local TV

Just receive it for Christmas, it is like stepping into another deminson of TV.
Now the Aereo has won in court to be able to stream local TV Stations, I am preparing to cut my cable and save Mega buck.
It has been a week and I keep exploring the world of Roku
