as long as you have accounts with all the movie/tv providers you can "instantly" watch just about any movie...

A stellar TV device

It has a wide range of channels you can add, from Netflix to Vudu to Amazon. I used to use my Samsung Blu-ray player in an attempt to get online content, but they played favorites on services and models, and I didn't get Amazon or other services that I now enjoy on the Roku. I also could not add any channel to it, unless Samsung made it available. This Roku is fast and furious. The interface is great. This is an excellent enhancement to a whole entertainment center experience. We also use a DVR with cable boxes and off the air HDTV recordings. Roku is a great supplement to that to get most on demand content. Gone are the days of video rental at your local Blockbuster. Now, just stream it from your Roku.

Best Way To Stream to Your TV

This is the most responsive, and most well thought-out streaming device I have ever used. Purpose-built is definitely the way to go, because who knows how long your "smart" TV manufacturer will keep making firmware upgrades. Streaming audio through the remote is a bonus - I listen to music overnight in my bedroom using a small portable speaker and my Roku 3 remote.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have the Roku 3, and love it. I show it off too all my friends and family and some were so impressed they purchased the Roku 3. Keep up the good work.

Roku is great

We have had ours set up for 2 months and its so easy to use. The best part is when our regular cable itsn't working properly -the Roku always is. You just click the home button and your started, no need to sign in,even if you don't use it for weeks at a time....

So Convenient!

I got the Roku3 as a Christmas present, an early Christmas present. I've had the device for a little over a month. I really enjoy the convenience of the device, the big icons are easy to read and it's easy to operate. My only issue is - I really wish there was a YouTube channel. Other than that I am completely satisfied with the product.

Fast and intuitive

I bought this one to replace my Roku 2 XS.
The Pros:
1. Love the increased speed (not a lot of waiting for channels to load)
2. Intuitive and esthetically pleasing interface
3. A large variety of customizable settings.
4. Fairly regular system updates. That to me says that they take pride in their product and constantly strive to improve it.
5. Tons of channels to choose from.

The Cons:
1. No dedicated audio out. I'd like to see the return of dedicated analog and optical audio out, like in the generation 2 Roku's.
2. No "direct" YouTube app
3. Can't stream movies/music from your computer directly (without the aid of third party apps like Plex) My WD TV Live was amazing at that.
4. Could stand to be heavier. Despite the fact that it is slightly heavier than the previous generation of Roku's, I still find that my high end woven fabric type HDMI cable still tends to lift it and move it around.
5. Tons of channels, but the content on the free ones is of poor quality. Any decent content channel needs a subscription. I'm hoping this will improve over time.

Fantastic Little Black Box

This little box does most everything I'd hoped for - including allowing me to watch "Blaze TV". And, when the grand kids come over they run away with all their video games, etc. It's a good way to get the biggest bang for your buck without spending too much for cable. All you need is a good Internet connection. Very good product!
