I received this neat little Roku3 for my birthday from my daughter. (She has 3 of them) . I loved the idea but was a little concerned about set up. Well I can tell you that it was easy --even for me. We have only signed up for Netflix so far but it is just great-a nice alternative to tv commercials and reruns. I love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

These little devices are amazing!!
Well made, FAST, tons of content, user friendly, perfect picture, perfect sound. Need I say more?? Best media player I've seen. And as a home theatre installer, I've seen MANY!!

great to watch streaming but terrible for playback

I took mine back and got the western digtal live. The main reason for this is it a pain to play back your own movies. it would only play back select types, others it would not play the sound. The roku is very slick if you want to view streaming content.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a roku 0ne it was a little slow, but this new model is very very quick compared to older model, I am happy but wish they would add the hulu channel, they only have hulu plus...

A gift from my kids together with a Netflix subscription. The setup was pretty straightforward. It does what it is supposed to do in a small and attractive footprint. I have only two quibbles - first, it runs very hot and for some reason there is no off/on switch. Second, periodically it crashes and I have to re-enter my email address, password, etc - a painstaking process. Overall good value

I have owned the device for 30 days now, and am absolutely "geeked" about it's performance. I only wish I could receive Seattle News thru Roku channels directly... Thank you for asking...!
