The Roku 3 is an extraordinary device. It's tiny, yet performs at the highest level. I've had other streaming boxes and this one is the best. The OS is simple and smooth. I prefer it to the Apple TV and WDTV boxes. Performance is great. Picture quality is outstanding and the new headphone jack is wonderful. It works off Wi-fi and has great range and good sound.

Best Streaming Player Yet

The best streaming player yet. This player has some of the best channel selections to choose from. Are you tired of not being able to stream a certain channel. Well look no further. The new Roku fixes that problem. Great device and would soooo recommend this to a friend.
Pros: Compact, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Great value, Easy to use, Video selection
Cons: Could use more channels

Great little box! Love the remote!

Used this all the time in my livinroom. Love the audio jack on the remote. Great range when doing house work and listening to the TV or music while doing so.
Pros: High quality picture, Video selection, Easy to use, Reliability, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Great value, Compact

I have an apple TV at home, this is the 1st Roku I get and I'd like to post my review to compare roku 3 and apple tv. Roku 3 vs apple tv 1. Size: Roku 3 is smaller and light, easy to bring when you travel. 2. Installation Both roku and apple tv are fast and easy, no problem setting it up. 3. Content Roku has many programming content available. this is a plus, but apple tv has the mirroring feature which is also great that allows me to stream content from my ipad and iphone anytime. Both roku and apple tv supports netflix, hulu plus, amazon video... 4. Remote control Both are great, but Roku has a great feature apple tv doesn't have - There is a headphone jack on roku remote, this feature I've never seen on a remote control before. When you plug in headphones, the TV sound will be muted. The other side has volume buttons to adjust the sound level for the headphones. You can listen to TV without disturbing the other people in the room. Pretty cool feature! and i love it. 5. 1080 support Both roku and apple tv supports 1080 content, great! 6. Game You can play angry bird on roku, apple tv doesn't have this. 7. USB port Roku has a usb port that allows you to play your own content, I haven't used this feature but it seems cool and give you more flexibility Overall, I think roku 3 is a great product and is competitive in the market, I'd recommend it.

Faster and clearer

This is an upgrade from my original first edition Roku player which worked well for the last several years. The Roku 3 is much faster for re-winding, fast forward, and loading shows. We have DSL but older telephone lines in our area and have noticed improved loading time, and picture clarity with this unit. Well done Roku.
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup

I received a Roku 3 for free by attending a live taping of CBS's "The Talk." I had no interest in keeping it. Sat in my closet for a few months. I finally opened it and connected it and I'm loving it. I now want another one for my TV downstairs. I'm considering canceling my DirectTV.
