I bought the Roku 3 for myself for Christmas and am very pleased with it and the ease of use. I could only find Hulu Plus I do wish I could watch free Hulu. There are many choices to view.

Great product - Wish there were more apps

The Roku works much better than my Smart TV and other add-on devices I've used. It is fast, easy to use and has never failed. The remote headphone plug-in feature is totally brilliant. I just wish there were more apps available. Needs more sports apps and cable channels (Showtime, Cinemax).

We were so frustrated having to watch TV shows on the computer. Roku allows us to access all of the computer channels on our TV. So much more convenient

Been using it about a month. Works well. Not as many free channels and events as I expected. I thought it would work more like a web browser, and I'd be able to use programs like Tube+.

I bought this device to see if this can do the things that other devices cannot do so good (location Germany). I am using it to stream from my QNAP Nas, but this is not working as expected, using different tools like Plex, Twonky and so on. I am trying to figure it out right now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
