bought this a few months ago after my Logitech google tv was starting to lack support for apps and updates and HD support. purchased the top of the line Roku and we love having the shows in HD. I also added playon.tv . we cut the cord on cable to the limited basic of 13 channels and haven't looked back.

I am pleased to report that Roku is worth the price. I get a lot of good out of mine. Hopefully I will see more new channels in the future.

I thought my Roku 2 was the best thing since sliced bread. The Roku 3 topped my expectations. I absolutely love the headphone hookup on the remote--and so does my wife. Easy to setup, easy to use, love the search options. Streaming made easy!

I bought this, but haven't used it too much as yet. One,thing I like is that I,can also, get Amazon Prime, through Roku, which I can't through my Apple TV. Still have the Apple TV as well. Wonderful product.

I bought Roku 3 in order to be able to stream Amazon Prime videos, which were not available on my 2011 Samsung blu-ray player. The setup was ridiculously easy and I was ready to go in a few minutes. Besides the Amazon Prime videos, I love the large selection of other channels and I have been trying out new ones to see which ones I like the best. A few times I've found a particular video that would not stream, especially if I have just been watching another video in the same series. This happens mostly in channels like, for example, The Motley Fool, where they have a series of short videos, and I'm trying to catch up on the ones I haven't yet watched from the time before. I found out accidentally that I can fix this by going back out to the home screen and then selecting the channel again. I'm not sure if this is a glitch in the video uploading or in the Roku itself.
Another thing I've noticed is that, when I'm switching over from the TV programs I'm receiving on my satellite receiver to the Roku device, the volume is much louder on the Roku and I have to turn it down. And then when I switch back to my satellite receiver, I have to turn the volume back up again.
Having yet another remote control is a hassle, so a few days after I bought my Roku, I bought a new universal remote control to operate all my devices, and the Roku is 100% compatible with it. So now I just press one button, which automatically switches over to the correct HDMI input and takes me to my Roku home screen. So now my Roku is simply a tiny unobtrusive device that hides quietly in my entertainment center and quietly does everything it's supposed to do.

Cable & More When I Want It

We downgraded our cable tier because it was just too expensive. In looking for alternatives, I searched for TV over Internet and Roku looked like the best option, so I got the Roku 3. Incredible number of channels, some of which are pay-for, but most are free, and if there are commercials, they are not the three or four minute attacks the networks run, just anywhere from a few seconds to a minute. The quality is great: HD, and the sound is very good too.

I bought the ROKU 3 about a month ago and just love it. It has great variety (even better since adding YouTube about a week ago). Creating a watch list with favorite channels is very time saving. The HD quality is awesome with no delays in streaming.
