We have had a Roku2 XS for just over 1 year now and have enjoyed every minute of it so we upgraded to the Roku3 and moved the 2 to another tv. We dumped cable at the same we got the XS so my only monthly fees are $8 for HuluPlus and $8 for Netflix. The next big step for Roku in my opinion will be to get local channels streamed in live; such as CBS, NBC, PBS, etc.

Your cable bill’s due? That’s sad…

The ROKU line of products has truly allowed me the ability to sever all ties with subscription based cable TV and enjoy more content that I could have imagined. Keep in mind that (less expensive) subscriptions such as Hulu+ and Amazon Prime are almost a necessity to fully utilize the ROKU hardware, spending a mere $15 a month for these two services far outweighs my previous $105 a month TWC bill. Lowered my bill to $40 for 15mbps internet and saved well in excess of $600 a year. Looking forward to the future of the streaming content industry and how networks will deliver their content in the future.

Works great but I have to Reset it too often

When it works it works great. But every so often it seems to come up with a purple screen that says "hdcp unauthorised. content disabled". I have to cycle the power to the Roku, log back in and then all is well - for a while. It only fails after the television has been off for a while which is usually the next day.

I am very happy with the roku 3. My first roku and couldn't be happier. The channel options are limitless and the streaming is so fast and no lag. It also has great HD for viewing the best quality. I have many streaming devices, but this is the best.

The Roku 3 works great for my Amazon Prime subscription. The only thing I am a bit disappointed about is that I cannot play my movies I have on VuDu/Flixter that I have thanks to the free option when I buy DVD's/Blu-Ray's to add the movie to my collection. Since the movies I added are only SD, I cannot play them on Roku. It would be nice to be able to play them even though they are SD. Looks like Roku only lets you play HD in this channel. SD works fine on my Amazon Prime. Not sure why VuDu doesnt let you. Oh well. Guess I still have to play those on my iPad. I only use the Roku when traveling for the most part.
